About the Artist
Estelle received a comprehensive art education in NYC, attending Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute as well as studies and workshops with many outstanding artists. Her work has been featured in Macy's window (NYC), art festivals and several galleries in the North Georgia mountains, where she calls Hiawassee, GA home. Several of her originals and giclee prints are currently enjoyed in many private collections.Pastels offer a wide array of colors and textures to produce outstanding portraits of pets and their special personalities, the way they cock their head, and the emotion in their eyes that make them one of a kind. Her love of pets (four of her own) shines through.
"Pastels are a wonderful medium and the more I use them the more I love them! Pastels are so versatile and can be used with so many other mediums. Most people think of a pastels as being 'chalk'. Pastels are pigment in one of its purest forms. They are light-fast and long lasting (archival-lasting hundreds of years). Portraits of animals are great for capturing the emotions, personality, and character found in their eyes. Take a minute to look at the examples and comments of satisfied owners, and then let me create your memory." |
